PALM TREE PRUNING
Aesthetic pruning of a palm tree to eliminate lower or dead fronds and seed pods. Healthy fronds lying below or at the horizontal plane will be removed only if necessary to facilitate the removal of the seed pods. Fronds will be removed close to the petiole base without damaging live trunk tissue.
Remove live branches to influence the orientation, spacing, growth rate, strength of
attachment and ultimate size of branches and stems. Structure pruning of a tree is
necessary to establish a sustainable trunk and branch arrangement.
Selective removal of live branches to reduce the interior density, increase sunlight
penetration, reduce wind resistance and provide even distribution of foliage throughout the canopy.
Selective removal of dead, diseased, detached and broken branches to reduce the risk of branch failure and eliminate the movement of decay, insects and diseases.
Selective removal or reduction of branches to provide vertical and horizontal clearance.
Pruning of branches to decrease the height and spread of the tree. Portions of the crown will be pruned to balance the canopy and produce a more uniform appearance.
Selective removal or reduction of lower branches to provide vertical clearance and
enhance the view.
Selective removal of branches, sprouts and stubs from a tree that has been improperly
trimmed, storm damaged, vandalized or otherwise damaged.
